Things you’ll need:
- A Treasure
- Treasure Hunt Clues
Setting Up the Game
Your
goal is to lead your guests through a series of clues that will lead to
a treasure. Your treasure can be anything from a beer to a gift
certificate to a date with you!You can play in teams or individuals. You should get an idea of the number of teams/players that you will have so that you know how many clues to create. You will need one clue per team/player.
Create your clues. Need inspiration? So did we so we created a whole page to help create clues.
You should create at least 5 clues. The more clues you create, the longer your hunt will be. Create your clues and then fold them or put them in an envelope and mark each with the team numbers.
Now, create a clue map that tells you where each clue is hidden. This will help you make sure your clues aren’t too close together and help you during the hunt in case anyone gets lost.
Example Clue Map for 5 Clues
Clue 1: not hidden
Clue 2: hidden underneath a rug
Clue 3: hidden under the tv
Clue 4: hidden in the mailbox
Clue 5: hidden in the microwave
Treasure: hidden in the hall closet
Now, before your party, go hide your clues and your treasure!
