Slippery Watermelon Pool Relay

The Slippery Watermelon Pool Relay is legendary because it will have your friends holding watermelons in ways you’ve never seen before!

Things you’ll need

• Swimming Pool
• 2 or more teams of the same number of people
• A watermelon for each team
• Baby Oil (Vaseline works too)

Setting Up the Game

Cover all the watermelons in baby oil so that they are super slippery.

For each team have 1/2 of each team line up on opposite sides of the pool with one person on each side in the pool. So, if each team has 10 members, 5 should be on one side and 5 on the other. If there is an uneven number, the extra person should be on the same side as the person that is starting the relay.

Give the watermelon to the person starting the relay.

Playing the Game

On ‘GO’ the player must get the watermelon to their teammate on the other side of the pool. They must do this while keeping the watermelon underwater. If the watermelon surfaces, the player must start over, even if it is during the handoff to the next team member.

The race is over when the last team member takes the watermelon across the pool and tags the edge of the pool.

Fastest team wins!
