Simple Syrup Recipe

This simple syrup recipe, or sugar syrup, is super easy to make and store. It is used in many cocktails such as Pisco Sours, Mojitos, Daiquiris and Hurricanes. You can also use it in non-alcoholic drinks like iced tea or brush it on cakes after baking to seal in moisture!

This recipe allows you to make any size batch you need for your cocktails. You can put it in a well sealed bottle in the fridge and it will stay good forever!

Ingredients

  • 2 parts sugar
  • 1 part water

Directions

Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and let simmer 10 to 15 minutes. The consistency should be about that of honey. Allow mixture to cool.

Tip:
If you like your drinks less sweet, you can also use 1 part sugar to 1 part water.

Use the Simple Syrup Recipe in an Alcoholic Drink.

We use this drink in the Around the World Party or you can use it at any of these party ideas.
