try the
American Flag Shot
Ingredients :
- grenadine syrup
- creme de cacao
- blue Curacao liqueur
Take a shot glass and pour grenadine in the first 1/3 of the glass. Then pour the creme de cacao over a bar spoon for the second. The spoon helps keep the liquids separate. Then, over the spoon again, pour the blue Curacao. If you do it right, you get a stack of red, white and blue.
Also, a classic American beer such as Budweiser does well here! Keep it ice cold in coolers for the happiest guests! Since you'll be outside, you could be quite generous and order custom koozies to keep everyone’s beer frosty cold and send the koozies home with them as a favor!
For non-beer drinkers, mix up my favorite summer drink, Spiked Pink Lemonade.
Ingredients:
-Country Time Pink Lemonade
-Citrus Vodka
Follow the directions on the lemonade but instead of using only water, use water and vodka. You should substitute ½ a fifth of citrus vodka for every 2 quarts of lemonade.
For non-alcoholic drinks, use non-spiked Country Time Pink Lemonade or sweet tea.
Food
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs all the way! Fire up the grill and assign a man to cook away. Of course, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, and coleslaw should round out the helpings! And for dessert, what is more patriotic than apple pie?Location
Outside in a location with a lot of space (for mud volleyball) - a large yard or a private beach is perfect! You will need to be able to access the location at least a day before the party to set up the mud volleyball. If you don't have a good location, ask around, you'll probably find someone that knows someone that has a sand/backyard volleyball court that you can use.Tip: Parties need shade! If your location doesn't have shade, create some by renting a tent or using large beach umbrellas.
Tip: If you're having the party in your back yard, you won't be at the front of the house to greet everyone personally. Therefore, be sure to put up signs to let them know where the party is! If you want to go the extra step, greet them with a custom banner!
