The Jello Party Idea came to me while I was trying to think of a fun idea for my brother's 30th birthday. I was thinking Three-Oh . . what rhymes with three-oh . . . Jello! From there, this is where it ended up!
Jello Twister Get yourself a Twister game, throw some jello on it and voila, you have Jello Twister! Play according to Twister rules.
Jello Brain Eating Contest Get yourself a Gelatin Brain Mold and make a few before the party. Once people have had a few jello shots, lay out the brains and see who can chow on them the fastest!
Jello Rhyming Drink Game Get in a circle and make sure people have a drink. Start with the word "Jello". The next player must say another word that rhymes with the previous word. Play ends when a word is repeated or a non-rhyming word is said. The violator then takes a drink. Play begins again with a new word.
Impress Friends with Jello Trivia Here are a few fun facts about Jello:
In 1845 Peter Cooper obtained the US patent for powdered gelatin.
The patent was sold to Pearle B. Wait. He and his wife May added strawberry, raspberry, orange and lemon flavoring to the powder and gave the Jell-O its name in 1897.
In 1964, the slogan "There's always room for Jell-O" was introduced, promoting the product as a "light dessert" that could easily be consumed even after a heavy meal.
In 2001, Green Jell-O was declared the "Official State Snack" of Utah, with Governor Michael O. Leavitt declaring an annual "Jell-O Week."
As of 2008, LeRoy, New York, is still known as the home of Jell-O and has the only Jell-O Museum in the world.
Since Bill Cosby has been the Jello Spokesperson for, well, ever serve his favorite, a hoagie and potato chips! And of course, whip up an awesome Jello dessert!
