Caipirinha Recipe
This Caipirinha Recipe will allow you to drink away on Brazil's national cocktail! Caipirinha is pronounced kai - preen - ya and is made with cachaça. Cachaça is also called Brazilian Rum if you’re looking for it in your local liquor store.Did you know that roughly eight liters of Cachaça is consumed per person annually in Brazil? It’s time for you to catch up!
Ingredients
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 lime cut into 8 pieces (wedges or wheels)
- 2 1/2 oz cachaça
Directions
Muddle the sugar into the lime wedges in an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour the cachaça into the glass. Stir well.Garnish with a sugar cane stick or a lime wheel.
Tips:
If this drink is too sweet or not sweet enough for your taste, just
adjust the amount of sugar.
You can also add different fruits with the limes to change the flavor. Cherry, Strawberry, Raspberry & Grapes work very well!
The following measurements are equal:
1 oz = 30ml = 1 tot = 1 shot = 3cl
