BEARPONG Oversized Pong Game!!
I am the proud inventor and owner of BEARPONG. The game is similar to beer pong but it is oversized and does not require the use of a table and does not directly involve drinking.
I came up with this idea while out shopping for supplies for a big summer party and cookout I was having, and walked past some plastic flower pots that reminded me of a big beer cup. Although it was expensive, I purchased 12 of the flower pots and then found some foam balls that were about the right size so they could be shot in the buckets. I even spray painted the pots red to look like solo cups.
We played the game all night on my roof deck and then all the next day as well. After nothing but praise about the game in the next few weeks, I decided that I would try to improve the game, patent the idea and sell them.
The original flower pots and balls were not exactly the right weight to be used together and the buckets did sometimes fall over. I searched around everywhere to find better balls and buckets but could find nothing that was affordable to purchase in mass quantities, even if directly from the supplier.
After realizing how costly and time consuming it was to find and individually purchase buckets and balls to play this game, I realized that there was an opportunity here. I have spent the last 2 years designing properly weighted buckets that resemble solo cups, balls and a carrying case.
Game play was greatly improved with unique design of all the components. I just started having them made and really hope that this game takes off! I wanted to submit this on your site for the chance to win, but also to give my personal story of how I really had a legendary party idea and now I run a business selling the game that was created as a result!
I just started selling BEARPONG a few months ago so not many people have heard of or seen it yet. It is a huge hit everywhere I take it and makes a great party game for anyone! Kids love it, adults love it, it really is a lot of fun.
